About Gatlinburg Winter Magic

Gatlinburg Winter Magic is the city’s long-running winter lights celebration. For more than 30 years, Gatlinburg has decorated its streets with millions of twinkling lights and festive holiday displays, turning downtown into a glowing winter scene. You can enjoy the lights from your car or on foot as you stroll the Parkway and side streets. The Visit Gatlinburg app offers a self-guided Winter Magic Lights Tour that maps every display so you can plan your stops, and a printable map is also available from the Gatlinburg Convention & Visitors Bureau. The celebration also includes oversized, three-dimensional snowpeople placed around downtown, and the app runs a scavenger hunt to find them all. Visitors can see which businesses decorated for Winter Magic and vote for their favorite displays.
