About Iron Mountain Metal Craft
Iron Mountain Metal Craft, near The Old Mill in Pigeon Forge, offers hands-on knife forging and blacksmithing experiences and bills itself as America’s most visited knife forging experience. Guests hammer glowing steel to forge their own knife, such as a nail knife or railroad spike knife, while staff handle the shaping and sharpening, and the finished knife goes home with its own sheath. Longer basic blacksmithing lessons and custom classes are also available. The shop is dedicated to preserving and passing on traditional metal-smithing skills. It is open Monday through Saturday, and appointments are recommended; schedule through the official website or by phone.
