WildSide’s new MegaZip stretches over a mile across the Smoky Mountains, giving Pigeon Forge visitors a new reason to look down — way down.
Adventure tourism in Pigeon Forge has officially gone sky-high. WildSide Adventures has opened the MegaZip, the longest zipline in the United States — a 1.1-mile-long thrill ride suspended nearly 1,000 feet above the forest floor. Riders can expect speeds topping 55 mph and sweeping panoramic views of the Smoky Mountains.
The attraction is already drawing adrenaline-hungry visitors and social media influencers alike. Local tourism experts say it’s exactly the kind of high-impact experience that keeps Pigeon Forge at the forefront of outdoor recreation.
“It’s not just about speed; it’s about perspective,” said WildSide’s owner, Mark Holloway. “You see the Smokies in a way few ever will — gliding silently above them.”
With safety certified by state inspectors and rave early reviews, the MegaZip could quickly become the newest icon in the city’s adventure tourism crown.
