About Westgate Wild Bear Falls Water Park

Wild Bear Falls is the indoor water park at Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Water Park, just minutes from downtown Gatlinburg. Because it is enclosed, with a retractable roof and heated water, it stays open in every season, whether it is a hot summer afternoon or a snowy winter day in the Smokies. The park covers about 60,000 square feet and holds roughly 300,000 gallons of flowing water. Guests can float along the lazy river, ride body slides and a giant water slide, explore the interactive treehouse, and wait for the giant water bucket to tip. Private cabanas with an HD TV, snacks, bottled water and a mini fridge can be reserved through the water park. For most resort guests, admission is not included in the room rate, so a separate ticket is needed. Westgate has announced that the park will close for renovations and maintenance from January 8 through March 4, 2027, so check the resort’s website for current hours before you plan a visit.
