Fall is at its best in the Smokies right now, and one of the season’s favorite local traditions is almost here. The 13th Annual Wears Valley Fall Fest, hosted by Keep Sevier Beautiful, runs Friday, October 16, through Sunday, October 18, filling 16 acres of the scenic valley with crafts, food, music, and family fun.
If you’ve been looking for a relaxed way to soak up autumn in the mountains, away from the bustle of the Parkway, this is it. Wears Valley’s open fields and ridgeline views make a beautiful backdrop for a weekend of browsing, snacking, and listening to live music.
What to Expect
- Talented craft vendors with handmade goods, perfect for early holiday shopping
- A dedicated children’s area with family-friendly activities
- Live entertainment throughout the weekend, so bring a lawn chair and stay a while
- Plenty of festival food to keep you fueled
Don’t Miss: Local favorite Jimbo Whaley plays a live concert on Sunday, October 18, from 1 to 3 p.m.

Planning Tip
Wears Valley is a short, scenic drive from Pigeon Forge along Route 321, and it’s a great way to skip the Parkway traffic on a busy fall weekend. Arrive early on Saturday for the best selection from the craft vendors, and pair the festival with a drive toward Townsend to make a full day of fall color.
