About Fannie Farkle’s

Fannie Farkle’s is a long-running family arcade and food stop in the heart of downtown Gatlinburg. For more than 40 years it has been a first stop for families visiting the Smokies, and many visitors who came as children now bring their own kids and grandkids. The food is a big part of the draw: the counter is known for its Ogle Dogs, cheesesteaks and sausage subs, and the smell drifts out onto the Parkway. Inside, the game room is stocked with the latest arcade games for all ages. An electronic game-card system keeps track of points as you play, so there are no paper tickets to carry around. When you are finished, you turn in the card and choose a prize from what Fannie Farkle’s describes as the area’s largest selection of quality prizes. The shop also sells its own branded t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, mugs and stuffed animals for anyone who wants a souvenir. Because it sits right in the middle of the downtown strip, Fannie Farkle’s is easy to fit into an evening walk, a rainy afternoon, or a quick lunch between other Gatlinburg attractions.
