What to expect
You cannot miss this one. It is the ship-shaped building on the Parkway. Inside is a self-guided tour with real artifacts from the ship and full-size recreations, including the Grand Staircase. When you come in you get a boarding pass with the name of a real passenger to follow through the tour.
Most people take an hour and a half to two hours. It works well for kids too, and it is a good choice on a rainy day.
Tickets and hours
Reservations are required, and you pick a date and time when you buy. The museum is open daily with seasonal hours and limited capacity. Book through the official Titanic Museum site.
Getting there
2134 Parkway, Pigeon Forge, across from the Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud. It is about 14 miles from I-40 exit 407. Parking is free on site.
Nearby
Dinner and a show is right across the road at the Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Show. The Island in Pigeon Forge is a short drive up the Parkway.
How the tour works
The tour is self-guided, so you can take as long as you like. Crew members are stationed along the way to answer questions and tell you more about what you are seeing. The museum says it is designed for all ages, with interactive exhibits that keep kids interested.
